Following the completion of its expansive, multi-dealership complex, Berkshire Hathaway Automotive needed to pair its state-of-the-art facility with a state-of-the-art customer experience. Data Projections was enlisted to survey the facility, determine optimal positioning for audio and visual equipment, and select the right technology for the job. Berkshire’s goal was to provide a comfortable space for clients while also emphasizing branding in showroom and other areas.
Immediately, Data Projections prioritized large format, high-quality displays that could be seen throughout the building interior. Building off of this approach, Data Projections was able to create a custom solution that offers a comprehensive audio and visual experience.
The showroom was the focus of the project, and Berkshire needed a way to organize and fill the expansive room with attractive signage. Berkshire also required a robust audio system that could be clearly heard from every part of the facility. Data Projections answered this need with a multi-zone audio system capable of isolating sound in the showroom, hallways and service drive-through areas. The audio is amplified using New QSC Core Digital DSP and IP managed technology. Several 55-inch and commercial 85-inch displays were fitted in the showroom and customer waiting lounges, offering sharp visual communications. In the Infinity café, special menu boards were installed to help customers.
Samsung DM Series digital signage displays were installed at service and delivery bays, and each one produces a personalized message when a customer first receives their new car.
All A/V systems are managed by Creston “Fusion” controls, which are geared toward energy efficiency, content management, and improved scheduling.
Future projects include installing a live video production set with multiple cameras, and a 2 x 2 video wall intended to output the streamed content. Content will consist of in-house chef demonstrations using the Infinity Event Center’s “Sub-Zero/Wolf designer kitchen.
Data Projections has created a custom A/V solution for Berkshire Hathaway Automotive, one that is scalable, immersive and intuitive. The integration of live video production and video wall technology will improve client experience even further, and provide valuable branding and informational content to customers.
In all, Data Projections’ custom A/V solution has made the new showroom a place where customers can relax, and Berkshire can communicate to them effectively.
