United States Distance Learning Association Welcomes Data Projections' Ken Conn to Board

November 20, 2009 - The United States Distance Learning Association (USDLA) was pleased to announce that it welcomes Ken Conn, Data Projections' director of the Houston education team, to its Board of Directors during its annual meeting held on October 29, 2009 in Alexandria, Virginia.

"I welcome these new board members with open arms because they will enable an already strong board to reach new heights for the association, our members and the industries we represent as a whole. Distance learning can provide access to the best learning opportunities for schoolchildren, connect higher education students globally to the best content around and transform the lives and careers of working adults. Together we will make a difference!" said Reggie Smith III, President, USDLA

Ken Conn will serve as USDLA's Senior Vice President of State Chapters for a two year term.

"USDLA is thrilled to welcome these new individuals to its Board of Directors," said Dr. John G. Flores, CEO, USDLA.  "The new USDLA members bring a wealth of experience and ideas to USDLA.  Each of them in their own right is an expert in the field and it is fitting that they will serve the nation's leading distance learning association.  We are confident these individuals bring a deep level of knowledge and expertise that will help move the Association forward and serve the needs of the distance learning community by providing advocacy, information, networking and opportunity."

Ken Conn has served as President of the Texas Distance Learning Association (TXDLA) for the 2006-2007 term and was recently the Chair for Partners and Exhibits for the 2009 TXDLA conference.
