A New Era of Interactive Learning with Lü
Technology in education is essential for creating engaging and effective learning environments. Frenship Independent School District (FISD) embraced this vision by integrating the Lü interactive space, which redefines physical education and sets a new standard for educational excellence in the school gym.

Problem
Faltering P.E. Participation Due to Unengaged Students
Westwind Elementary School in Frenship ISD recognized the need to increase student engagement and participation in physical education and cross-curricular activities. The challenge was creating a dynamic learning environment where students could actively participate and benefit from holistic learning experiences.
Solution
Lü Interactive System Transforms Learning Spaces
Data Projections collaborated with Westwind Elementary’s P.E. coach and principal to introduce and install the Lü Interactive system. As the first of its kind in the district and region, the Lü system offered immersive games and educational activities that engage students while promoting physical activity, social-emotional learning, and cross-curricular integration.
Result
Interactive Play and Learning Boost Student Engagement
The implementation of the Lü Interactive system empowered Westwind Elementary to transform gym time into an educational experience that transcends traditional learning environments. Students embraced the new technology, engaging in games that integrate spelling words, math problems, and fitness activities.
The cross-curricular and social-emotional learning features were a huge selling point for P.E. Coach Paul Phenix. “It is good leverage to have, especially if we’re having a day where behavior is kind of tough. They love to get on that thing and just compete.”
The system's interactive nature encouraged even the most reluctant students to participate, fostering confidence and collaboration among peers. “We have some kids that are just really shy and there are quite a few dance games and interactive options,” said Coach Phenix. “Oh man, you wouldn’t know which kids were shy and which kids weren’t once that game starts going.”
Beyond P.E. games and apps, Lü also has a community feature, making gym time a cross-curricular experience. “If we need sight words, then we throw up some sight words so not only are they getting the physical activity but they’re getting the curriculum that’s tied into it. We’ve also done math games,” said FISD Media Specialist Angela Howard.
Overall, Westwind Elementary was very pleased with the installation, but most importantly shared that the students have enjoyed both learning and playing with the new addition. The school is excited to learn more about the Lü's many different features and applications as the school year progresses.
“I do think it gives just a different, more interactive experience for the kids,” said Westwind Elementary Principal Dawn Powell. “When we do walkthroughs with new teachers or prospective parents, they’re all very impressed with the Lu.”
Interactive Technology Unlocks Educational Potential

Lü Active Learning Systems:
Integrate education and movement with vibrant, exciting spaces tailored for active learning and enhanced student engagement.
It’s a great way to show the children that screens are not just sit-down activities but with screens and technology—you can still stay healthy while using the screen, you don’t have to just sit.”
